We are dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing to the residents of Wyoming County. Our goal is to provide housing opportunities to Low and Moderate income families, the elderly & those with disabilities. To better assist our communities, we offer various programs, ranging from public housing and Section 8 rental assistance to homeownership opportunities.

At WCHRA, we offer access, assistance, and administration of various Federal, State, and locally funded programs to the communities that we serve, through the Wyoming County Redevelopment Authority.

The Wyoming County Housing Authority is looking for Landlords to participate in our Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) program.

  • On time monthly payments – Direct deposit paid the first business day of the month
  • Partially pre-screened tenants
  • Pre-lease up and biennial inspections to ensure both the landlord and tenant maintain clean and safe living conditions
  • In most cases, if the tenant’s income decreases, the Housing Authority’s portion will go up
