Deterra Drug Deactivation Kits
Free Deterra Drug Deactivation Kits
The Deterra® Drug Deactivation System safely destroys and disposes of unused medications with just tap water. Free kits are available to all Wyoming County residents through the Opioid Settlement Committee.
How It Works
Drop unused pills, patches, liquids, creams, or films into the Deterra pouch.
Fill halfway with warm water, seal the pouch, and shake for 30 seconds.
Drugs are permanently deactivated. Toss the sealed pouch in the trash.
Deterra deactivates: Pills, patches, liquids, creams, and films — including opioids, stimulants, and other controlled substances. The patented activated carbon technology permanently binds and neutralizes drugs, making them safe for the environment.
How to Use Deterra
