Paying your county taxes?

  • Current-year taxes that are not past due are handled by your local tax collectorsee the Local Tax Collectors list.
  • Back taxes (any prior year, or past due) are handled here by the Tax Claim Bureau.
  • Need to update the mailing address on your tax bill? Contact the Assessment officesubmit an Address Change Request.

The Wyoming County Tax Claim Bureau collects and distributes over $3.5 million to the county, 29 townships and boroughs, and 6 school districts. Every January, the Bureau receives nearly 2000 returns of real estate taxes not paid to the local tax collectors.

The Bureau conducts Tax Sales under the general provisions of the Pennsylvania Real Estate Tax Sale Law Act 542 of 1947 and it’s Amendments.  This act is codified at 72 PS 5860.101 et seq.
